CJ brings over 30 years experience in the E&S marketplace on the Carrier side. The common theme throughout that time is his involvement with over 250 General Agents working on various areas of technology to improve efficiencies within the E&S marketplace. These areas include rating, policy issuance, electronic policy delivery, claims information and systems integration. This has allowed him to form long standing relationships with many people in the industry. These efforts created an in-depth knowledge of General Agency internal processes and operations from both an underwriting business and technology perspective. Through these engagements, CJ gained a very detailed knowledge of third party software vendors that produce products for the General Agency market place. Experience with these vendors spans a wide range from direct vendor management to indirect coordination and consultation on behalf of General Agents. His role also included working closely with many Underwriting departments in both Contract and Brokerage areas to plan for system enhancements to support underwriting changes.
CJ has also been a long-standing industry advocate and active participant including the AAMGA (now WSIA) Automation Committee from 1995 to 2016 where he also served as Co-Chair from 2010 to 2012. He was active in the E&S Joint Working group advocating industry standards and connectivity, and was involved with or led many MGA technology committees focused on deeper digital interactions and automation.
