Software design and innovation leader, Skyler Severns, named Chief Technology Officer for Dark Matter InsurTech, LLC.
Specialty Insurance Automation and Much More....
Skyler has been recognized for his contributions to inpatient healthcare systems and omni-channel commerce solutions. Throughout his career, Skyler has worked to automate business processes and deliver innovative software solutions for household brands and upstarts alike.
Skyler was the principal engineer for Wolters Kluwer’s flagship Sentri7 product. Sentri7 was deployed as a massively parallel expert-system, ingesting and analyzing millions of HL7 messages from the largest healthcare systems in the United States. The analyzed information was made available near real-time to hospital staff for lower operational costs (IV to PO), reduced Medicare liabilities (fall risk), tracked and prevented infection spread, and hundreds of other applications.
After several years working with $100M e-commerce companies and spearheading development on Microsoft’s self-service asset management software, Intune, Skyler joined GigaSpaces to lead Professional Services and Field Engineering for the Americas. While in this role, GigaSpaces was able to expand their service offering and generate over $4M in revenue while delivering industry leading solutions in the cloud/hybrid-cloud space. Skyler was directly involved in delivering training, architecture, and support for customers like American Airlines, QVC, Belk, Kohls, ESPN, FIS, and Schwab.
Since 2016 Skyler has been focused on providing much needed solutions for wholesale insurance brokerages. These solutions have included a universal clearance system, a hugely successful eCommerce installation, and a platform for surplus lines tax filings.
